FUNDRAISING EVENTS Easton ’s Second Annual Charity Run This year’s run will benefit the Mikey’s Way Foundation http://www.mikeysway.org When: Saturday, November 10 th @ 8:00am (Rain date: Sunday, November 11 th) Where: Phoenix Academy ( Old Samuel Staples Elementary School) 660 Morehouse Rd. in Easton, CT A “Thank You” Reception will follow in the School cafeteria Distance: 2.5 miles Run / Walk Who: EVERYONE!!! This event is being organized by the HKMS Eighth Grade Government. Runners/Walkers: You can pre-register by sending in your participant agreement form to Helen Keller Middle School at 360 Sport Hill Rd in Easton, CT 06612. All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a Miles for Smiles t-shirt! Find sponsors and collect donations from now until the day of the run. Turn in all funds raised on the morning of the race! (Minimum of $5 please) Questions? Local businesses, organizations, corporations, and the community supported the effort so that all proceeds were donated directly to Mikey's Way. The race raised over $10,000! Miles for Smiles, 2007 The eighth grade government of Helen Keller Middle School, Easton, CT, organized it's second annual charity run, "Miles for Smiles," to benefit the Mikey's Way Foundation. The local community, including families, businesses, media outlets, and corporations got behind Mikey and his efforts to help relieve the boredom and pain of cancer treatment.
